Carolyn draws on decades of experience as a Dance-Movement Therapist and yoga teacher. She includes playful movement, asana, gentle flow, as well as chanting, meditation, restorative poses and yoga philosophy in her classes. She is particularly interested in helping students of any age and ability, to find ease, strength, mobility and confidence through clear and thoughtful alignment cues. From her experience as a mental health professional she brings a trauma-informed perspective to her classes as well as an understanding of the neuro-biological foundations that support and inform yoga practice. She loves helping students increase awareness of the body/mind/spirit connection so that they can experience a sense of mastery not only on “the mat” but also into daily life. She is so grateful to be able to share her practice with students. When not treking on mountain ridges and forest paths she can be found sitting in her garden, reading and watching the peas grow. Oh yes, and she loves to cook….
