Yoga found Mikaela during a time when she was in search of strength, growth, and connection. She has been a devoted student for many years and eventually completed her 200hr YTT at Burning Spirits Yoga in 2018. Mikaela is passionate about sharing the yoga habit with others and creating space for the mind to be calm and the soul to be nurtured. The practice of yoga has encouraged spiritual development for Mikaela and has been a powerful tool of self-care and self-discovery. Her classes allow for an introspective focus and inspire students to explore being present in their hearts, minds, and bodies. Mikaela’s trauma informed classes include focus on safe alignment, dynamic flow, and the opportunity to focus on both physical and mental strength and flexibility. Her classes incorporate the use props, pranayama, and welcome all levels of yoga practitioners.
In addition to teaching yoga, Mikaela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in the oncology field. She can often be found in the garden, on the dance floor, or spending time with her family (both 2 legged and 4 legged).
